PROTECT'INOX ANTI-TERMITE ROLL 50M WIDTH 12CM
PROTECT'INOX ANTI-TERMITE ROLL 50M WIDTH 12CM
Protect'Inox roll, physical termite barrier, impenetrable and biocide-free.
Flexible mesh made of stainless steel wire, square weave.
- Roll: 50cm
- Width: 12cm
1- PREPARATION AND STARTING OF THE PERIMETER
The applicator prepares the surface by carefully sanding the perimeter where the Protect'Inox strip will be applied. Installation of the barrier begins with a 3cm fold, secured with two tacks to ensure sufficient tension.
2- STRAIGHT AND ANGLED UNROLL
Depending on the surface condition of the substrate and the width of the barrier, the roll is unrolled for a few meters. It is then stretched taut and secured with nails. No undulation is permitted. This process is repeated until the first corner of the masonry is reached. To easily position the corner, a nail is driven in 50 cm beforehand to maintain the tension of the previous section. The corner is created by a simple fold (or by overlapping). It is then flattened using a hand roller and secured with nails. The roll is then unrolled for several more meters; at least two nails are required to tension it again.
3- REOPENING AND CLOSURE OF THE PERIMETER
At the end of the roll, the applicator makes a 3 cm fold, overlapping the mesh of the next roll. Once adjusted, the next roll is secured with a first tack. The applicator makes a first fold, then a second to completely cover the overlap. This overlapped area is then tensioned with a third fold. The hand roller is particularly useful for pressing each fold flat. This technique is also used to close the perimeter of the barrier. Once the perimeter is complete, the mesh must be readjusted flush with the masonry, pressed against the masonry and the slab, and then tacked.
4- INSTALLATION OF CONDUIT, REINFORCEMENT AND GLUING
Protect'Inox is installed around the conduits using collars sized to the diameter, either cast into the concrete slab or nailed and glued to the surface. For the passage of the reinforcement bars, the mesh is cut (the cut is folded underneath to facilitate the application of the adhesive). The physical barrier is then permanently fixed and protected with a layer of adhesive applied by brushing. The installer ensures that enough adhesive is applied to completely saturate the mesh.
